Founder Mule

Ingredients

Familia ginger syrup:

1/2 cup blue agave syrup
1/2 cup water
1/4 strips of lime peel
4 ounces fresh ginger, peeled
1/4 cups fresh lime juice
1 sprig of mint

Mule:

1 ounce fresh lime juice Ice
2.5 ounces Isla Familia Silver
2 tablespoons ginger syrup
Fever tree ginger beer to top off
Fresh mint to garnish

We also use our signature ginger foam to top
off our event cocktails.

Instructions

For Familia ginger Syrup

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the agave syrup, water, lime peel, and ginger. Bring to a rolling simmer over medium-high heat until the agave is completely dissolved. Then reduce to medium-low and continue simmering, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat, add in the sprig of mint and lime juice, and set aside to cool for at least 1 hour.
  3. Once cool, strain through a fine-mesh stainer, and pour into an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks!

How to Make a Mule:

  1. In a large glass or copper mule mug, add lime juice. Fill the glass with ice.
  2. Top with tequila, ginger syrup, and ginger beer. Gently stir, then top with a lime wedge and mint.
